Le Sens de l’humour (Sense of Humor)
It is winter. Elise lives alone with her ten-year-old son Léo, whose father is dead. She is involved with Paul, who she met before she was widowed, and that fact has sent their relationship topsy-turvy. The strength of her attraction makes Elise reject Paul just as violently, and the pair of them are endlessly going back and forth, happy times alternating with stormier waters. Despite all this, Paul and Léo are getting to know one another until yet another dispute erupts, and an exhausted Paul decides to break up with her. But Elise is now pregnant so they get back together. However, the young woman, still in too vulnerable a state of mind, decides not to have the baby, until the day of the abortion.
