Marco Cacciamognaga
Marco Cacciamognaga was born in Locarno in 1970 and studied economics at the HSG business school of the University of St. Gallen, later completing his studies at the SUPSI university institute in Lugano, where he specialized in taxation and financial management.
His career in business began in 1993. For a number of years he was manager of a world-ranking software company in the Canton Ticino ; in parallel, for more than a decade, he shared with his father the task of running the family’s Locarno-based trustee and consulting firm. He thus gained solid business experience, especially in the administration and auditing fields.
In January 2005 he joined the Festival del film Locarno team as Chief Financial Officer. In November 2006 he was also appointed Chief Operating Officer by the board, and so Marco Cacciamognaga is now in charge of all administrative and organizational aspects of the Festival.
Marco Cacciamognaga is married with two daughters.
